1. What are layer masks? How do the differ from just using the eraser tool in photoshop?How might you use them in the future to create more projects in photoshop?

Layer masking is a reversible tool of hiding a portion of a layer. This gives you more editing options than wiping or deleting a portion of a layer permanently. The Eraser tool is not the same as the Background Eraser tool. The Background Eraser tool samples the color that is directly beneath the + in the circle's center. As a result, Photoshop will remove all of the color within the larger circle. I will use this software for aesthetic purposes or marketing ad campaign or mostly to create anything you can imagine.

2. Do you believe your project was (successful/ unsuccessful). Why?

I do believe my project was successful because it shows as "Naruto" Reference where the character that uses "Kamui" to teleport anywhere with their hand. I also learned the basics of masking and stacking pictures.

3.  what level of mastery does your project demonstrate 

​

My level of mastery with photoshop masking is I "meet" the requirements. The reason why I believe I met this level is because you can see very little rough edges on the body arm. which I could have taken the time to smooth in the mask.
