1. The steps required to make this project was background transparency, image mask clipping, merging and pop in and out.

STEPS:

1. Open Photoshop
2. Go to File>New
3. Name the assignment “Project 5_Your Name”
4. Set the width to 11 inches and the height to 8.5 Inches.
5. Make sure background is set to “Transparent”
6. Click “Create”
7. Use the text tool to insert a text box. Type your first name in the text box.
8. Highlight over the font and change the style and size up the scale to make the name fill up as much space as possible.
9. Use the selection tool and freetranform the name to scale and center it.
10. Use the internet/or use your own personal photos to create a collection of at least 15 images to use for your final project . Drag and drop your images or download and save them to a folder on your desktop.
11.Go back to Photoshop and insert the pictures you saved by going to “File>Open & Place”
13. Stretch the layer over the text by free transforming it.(Command + T)
14. Right click on the picture in the layers panel and select “Clipping Mask” . This should palace the picture inside the text.
15. Repeat this step multiple times carefully placing your various pictures within the letters.
16. Duplicate layers that you would like to have pop out of your letters and move them to the top of your layers stack.
17. Use the quick select tool and/or magic wand tool to remove the background from the images you want to have pop out. Once everything you want removed is selected, hit delete on your keyboard or add a layer mask.
18. Repeat this step a few more times to add a minimum of 3 pop outs to your project.

2. The difference between eraser tool and clipping mask is that when erasing something you need to have two layers where one is being erased and the other is being closely merged to the other layer where it looks normal. clipping, in my opinion only requires one image layer since you're making a picture merge in into an object, text or or anything else doesn't need an extra layer to make it look normal. how would I use this in future photoshop career purposes? well this feature from photoshop or whole photoshop in general is really common in making campaign ads, thumbnails, Esports etc.

3. What was successful about my project was being able to understand the tools of masking objects or pictures into specific layer, also understanding how to make specific objects or thing to pop out and make it really immersive or enjoyable to look at.

4. I think my work meets the criteria and kind of exceeds the criteria because as shown in the text I got a little creative by making two pictures connect to both letters to each other. There's some little stuff to be worked on but I think this the best photoshop project I have ever done yet.
